Texas Wine Foundation
Mission
The Texas Wine Foundation’s mission is to support, develop, and stimulate the health, growth, and improvement of the Texas wine and grape industry and the prosperity of its members by organizing, funding, creating, and implementing programs of education, research, and marketing.
Scholarships
TWF supports individuals’ growth and education to help the Texas wine and grape industry thrive. To do so, TWF offers scholarships each year that are awarded to undergraduate and graduate students studying in Texas-based viticulture and enology programs.
TWF scholarships include the Hoss Newsom Viticultural Scholarship awarded each spring during the annual Newsom Grape Day. Established in 2012, the Hoss Newsom Viticultural Scholarship is awarded to deserving students who demonstrate the qualities of commitment to and passion for the growing Texas wine industry.
Apply for a 2024 Hoss Newsom Scholarship today. The application deadline is Friday, April 12.
Additional Programs
Texas Wines, Texas Bold
Developed to increase consumer awareness and consumption of Texas wine, the Texas Wines, Texas Bold campaign was introduced by TWF in 2021. The campaign includes high-quality video assets that Texas wineries and vineyards can use to promote their brands and the Texas wine industry via social media, websites, wine clubs, events, and more. The videos take all the “big and bold” truths, myths, and urban legends about Texas and weave them into Texas wine narratives.
Future of Texas Wines Giving Day | October 14
Uncork the future of Texas wines during the Future of Texas Wines Giving Day, Saturday, October 14, 2023. Proceeds will support Texas Wine Foundation (TWF) scholarships awarded to undergraduate and graduate students studying in Texas-based viticulture and enology programs.
